hu cares if some people doesnt know how to speak english properly or pronounce words right.. i mean Indian people speak english in a different way. they speak through their noses but when we hear them speak english we just say "that's weird but its ok. their Indian.." its ok for foreigners to speak english in a weird way but when we hear our "kababayans" speak poor english we judge them in a degrading manner. where's the logic in that?? hu gives a shit if i pronounce "love" as "lab" or "food" as "pud".. we're filipinos. we have our own ways on doing things.. speaking good english does not make a person higher that everyone else.. i mean we are all equal. we shit the same thing. we have all problems as heavy as the world and we die.. im not talking only about speaking english here but in general. im just so disapponted in people sometimes when they talk about other people's weaknesses as if they dont have garbage in their backyards. i remember my polsci teacher, he said "dont throw mud on other people. whether u hit ur target or not, u still had dirtied ur hands". and its true.. if we see ourselves judging other people without any basis then we should stop ourselves and look in the mirror and see if we're made of gold. unfortunately we're not. just flesh,,, the same as evryone else..

title:{waking life(movie)}
im a big fan of movies, esp movies with sense and esp those movies that make no sense but actually makes sense. confusing? well, waking life is just like that. beside the visual stimulation which i find very satisfying, the movie is all about intelligent talk. its very philosophical and deals with how real life is. is it just a dream or the dreams we have is the real thing? this is one of the best movies ive seen in the past years.
this is one of my favorite dialogues in the movie. read through it:
1st Woman: [This part of the conversation is kind of faint] Time just dissolves with these quick moving particles that are swirling away. Either I'm moving fast, or time is, but never both simultaneously.
2nd Woman: Such a strange paradox. I mean, well technically, I'm closer to the end of my life than I've ever been. I actually feel, more than ever, that I have all the time in the world. When I was younger, there was a desperation, a desire for certainty, like there was an end to the path and I had to get there.
1st Woman: I know what you mean, because I can remember thinking, oh someday, like in my mid-thirties maybe, everything is going to just somehow gel and settle, just end. It was like there was this plateau, and it was just waiting for me and I was climbing up it. When I got to the top, all growth and change would just stop, even exhilaration. But, that hasn't happened like that, thank goodness. I think that what we don't take into account when we're young is our endless curiosity. That's what's so great about being human.
2nd Woman: Yeah....Well, do you know that thing Benedict Anderson says about identity?
1st Woman: No.
2nd Woman: Well, he's talking about like, say, a baby picture. So, you pick up this picture of this two-dimensional image and you say, "That's me." Well, to connect this baby in this weird little image with yourself living and breathing in the present, you have to make up a story like, "This was me when I was a year old, and then later I had long hair, and then we moved to Riverdale, and now here I am." So, it takes a story that's actually a fiction to make you and the baby in the picture identical....to create your identity.
1st Woman: And the funny thing is, our cells are completely regenerating every seven years. We've already become completely different people several times over, and yet, we always remain quintessentially ourselves.

im very much pissed of the quality of local tv shows today, esp the soap operas. for example in abs-cbn if they were promote a new soap opera they would rave about it saying how good it is or how they worked hard on it to make it look great but it just turns out to be just a piece of crap. example of this would be "kampanerang cuba". i thought that it would be "ok" under wen deramas direction but it turns out to be just another of his mediocre shows. its so obvious that the production was not given enough financing. the costumes are just bad and the set design is really3x bad. what they should do is study first the finished product if it would look ok on tv and then if evrything is believable then thats the time the show is aired. i know that the philippines is not that advanced but come on, the hunch on a huncback should not move around like it was made of water or something.. and btw, directors here need more imagination and writers need a kick in the head for writing scripts with over-used plots. stop with the cheesy romance flicks, its bad enough to have john lloyd and bea everynight on the tv..

title:{forbidden fruit..}
im very much dissappointed in this particular person. shes not the girl i used to know. i cannot believe that she had let go of her values and her sense of self. when i look at her its not anger anymore i feel but pity. pity for the person that she has become. she has become insensitive and close minded. although i cannot expect her to be the person i want her to be but i just want her to feel what other people are feeling so she can make decisions more clearer to her. love has become her poison...
